Glass goes in late, but choosing it late costs you time and options.

1 · Design

Pick frameless vs semi-frameless and hardware finish at the same time as your tile and fixtures so everything matches.

2 · Rough-in

Frameless hinges need solid wood blocking behind the tile. Your contractor needs to know where the door swings before the wall is closed up.

3 · Tile + grout

We can't template until tile is installed and grouted. Glass arrives ~3 weeks after the template visit.

4 · Install

Install is 2–4 hours per shower. Silicone needs 24 hours before water exposure.

Real Numbers

For most mid-to-high-end remodels, shower glass runs 5–8% of the total bathroom budget. It's a small line item with an outsized visual impact.
