Get these right and a mirror reads as built-in, not added on.
For vanities: 2–6″ narrower than the countertop. For walls: keep 4–6″ off the ceiling and corners so the mirror floats.
The edge is the frame. Flat polish is modern, bevel adds dimension, pencil is the softest.
