Cracked
Cracked or shattered panel
Tempered glass can't be repaired once cracked — it has to be replaced. The good news: usually just the broken panel, not the whole enclosure.
- Panel-only swap if hardware is fine
- Match thickness and edge polish
- Same lead time as new (~2 wk)
Foggy
Foggy or pitted glass
Hard water etching looks like permanent fog. Polishing helps lightly etched glass; deeply pitted glass needs replacement.
- Professional polish for light haze
- Replace when pitting catches a fingernail
- Install easy-clean coating on the new glass
Leaks
Door leaks or won't close
Almost always a sweep or seal problem — much cheaper than a new door.
- Replace bottom sweep + side seals
- Re-shim hinges to true the door
- Re-silicone the wall channels
Dated
Dated framed door
If the hardware is corroded or the look is dated, a fresh semi-frameless door is the lowest-cost modern upgrade.
- Reuse opening, new glass + frame
- Modern matte black or brushed finish
- Done in a day
