Shower Doors & Custom Glass in Park Ridge

Park Ridge homes tend to be older, well-loved, and meticulously maintained. The bathrooms we install glass into here are almost always part of a thoughtful remodel where the homeowners have made deliberate choices about tile, fixtures, and hardware long before we arrive to measure.

Why Local Matters

Park Ridge clients know what they want

By the time we show up to a Park Ridge estimate, the homeowner usually has reference photos, fixture cut sheets, and a clear picture of the finished bathroom. Our job is to translate that vision into glass that actually fits, actually closes, and actually lasts. We respect the care these clients put into their homes and we install accordingly.

Park Ridge has a high concentration of pre-WWII homes with original plaster walls, original wood blocking, and original everything. The measurement matters; the install matters. We don't rush either.

Project 01

Frameless pivot, Uptown 1922 bungalow

A homeowner near Northwest Highway had a 30-inch second-floor bath the previous owners had retiled in subway tile. Single ⅜″ pivot panel anchored to wall with two heavy hinges, polished-chrome hardware. The footprint barely allowed swing clearance — measurement was critical.

Project 02

Frameless walk-in with bench, South Park primary

A 1958 ranch off Vine Avenue had its master bath gutted and rebuilt with a 60×42 walk-in shower and built-in tile bench. ½″ low-iron frameless hinged door with 36″ inline panel, brushed-nickel hardware.

Project 03

Custom steam enclosure, Country Club estate

A 1996 custom home off Glenview Road had a dedicated steam shower the builder had glazed inadequately. Full ½″ frameless steam enclosure with sealed transom and continuous gasketing. Polished-chrome hardware to match the original fixtures.

Trends

Park Ridge installs we're proud of

Park Ridge homeowners gravitate to choices that read as deliberate rather than trendy. Low-iron frameless glass, classic hardware finishes (polished chrome, brushed nickel, the occasional aged brass), and simple geometry — single hinged doors with one fixed panel, executed well.

If you're considering the upgrade from semi-frameless to fully frameless, our guide covers the trade-offs.

FAQs

Park Ridge shower-door questions

Do you work in historic Uptown Park Ridge?

Yes — many of our Park Ridge projects are in homes built before 1940. We handle older wall construction carefully.

Can you install custom-cut glass for non-standard openings?

Yes. Every Park Ridge install is fabricated to the actual opening; we rarely use stock sizes here.

How do you protect plaster walls during install?

Pre-drilled pilots, wider clamp footprints, careful torque on anchors. We've worked on hundreds of plaster-wall installs without cracking.

Do you do same-day repairs?

If the hardware we need is in stock, often yes. Most repair calls are out within the week.
