Shower Doors & Custom Glass in Roselle

Roselle is a tidy, well-kept village with a mix of older ranches near the downtown Metra and newer subdivisions toward the western edge. We install glass across the whole footprint, and the project that's been moving most here this year is the modern black-framed industrial look — finally hitting the suburbs in a real way.

Why Local Matters

Roselle is where the industrial look broke through for us

For years the answer to 'what kind of shower door?' was either frameless or some flavor of semi-frameless. Over the last 18 months, a third option has shown up consistently in Roselle estimates: black-framed industrial glass, sometimes with horizontal or vertical mullions, almost always in matte black. It's a deliberately designed look, and it lands particularly well in transitional Roselle bathrooms — modern enough to feel current, structured enough to feel timeless.

Beyond that, the standard Roselle project is still a clean frameless walk-in or a bypass slider for townhome guest baths. We do plenty of both. But if you've seen the industrial look on Instagram and wondered whether it would work in your bathroom, ask us at the estimate — we'll show you a sample.

Project 01

Black-framed industrial door, Stonecreek new build

A 2022 custom home off Bryn Mawr had a 48″ alcove shower the homeowners wanted to feel like a London apartment, not a suburban builder bath. Matte-black framed door with horizontal mullions, ⅜″ tempered glass, custom-fabricated track. The whole bathroom changed character around it.

Project 02

Tub-to-shower conversion, original Roselle bungalow

A 1932 bungalow off Park Street had its only bathroom gutted. Custom 54″ curbed walk-in with a ⅜″ frameless inline panel, header reinforcement, aged-brass hardware.

Project 03

Bypass slider, Roselle Greens townhome

A second-floor guest bath off Roselle Road had a tired framed slider. Replaced with frameless ⅜″ bypass in brushed nickel. Single visit, no demo.

Trends

What's selling in Roselle in 2026

Black-framed industrial doors are the new request driver — usually paired with subway or zellige tile and matte-black plumbing. Frameless walk-ins remain the everyday upgrade. Aged-brass hardware is showing up on traditional remodels as the alternative to matte black.

FAQs

Roselle shower-door questions

Do you do the black-framed industrial look?

Yes — it's one of our fastest-growing styles. We fabricate custom frames in matte black with horizontal, vertical, or grid mullion patterns.

Is the framed industrial style more or less expensive than frameless?

Usually comparable to frameless on a per-square-foot basis. The hardware is more intricate; the glass itself is often ⅜″ rather than ½″.

Will the matte-black finish chip or wear?

The powder-coat finish we use is rated for shower environments and won't peel or rust. Wipe occasionally with a soft cloth — no abrasive cleaners.

How long does the industrial-style door take to fabricate?

Slightly longer than standard frameless — typically 3-4 weeks because the frame is custom-built per opening.
